Volunteer Program
Finca Pinguino Yoga Farm is open to world citizens who believe in responsible tourism, sustainable community development, local empowerment, selfless service. We are always searching for curious and active volunteers who want to get more education on permaculture practices, agroforestry, yoga/meditation, healthy eating, animal care, and ecological living.
Location
Our farm is nestled in the calm hills of the small village of Tabuchila in Manabi province, only 20 minutes from Canoa beach town, on the Ecuadorian coast. We are ideally located for those looking to escape, resource, and reconnect with nature.
Our Accommodations
We have a dedicated shala for volunteers to experience farm life. It offers rustic and comfortable bedrooms that are furnished with single and double beds, clean sheets, a mosquito net, and shelving. The shared kitchen is equipped with a 6-burner stovetop, a fridge, kitchen utilities, storage, and outdoor seatings. We provide Wi-fi, outdoor showers, and compost toilets.
Other common spaces include:
- Shared tree-top living space
- Hammock tower looking over the valley
- Library, board games, and creative space
- Yoga terrace looking over the forest
- Backyard bonfire pit
- Food forest
Community Experience
To get the most out of our community experience, we ask for a minimum of one-month stay with 20 hours Seva (selfless service) per week served toward the community, projects may include:
- Reforestation and food forest care
- Revitalization, and care of the garden
- Occasional planting & harvesting
- Compost making
- Animal care (horses, chicken, cats, and dogs)
- Beautification of the farm (flower planting, murals, paintings)
- General cleaning & community work
- Agriculture, building, and maintenance of the farm

Living Education
As we strongly believe in the power of community, co-creation, and collective intelligence, we encourage all of our community members to share their passions, knowledge, and gifts with the community.
